French and European Language Accents
The following table shows how to type Diachritics (French Accents) with a standard english keyboard. This table is good for anyone interested in Second Language Learning. Creating French and European accents on computers can be easy if you have access to a multi-lingual or language specific keyboard. Modern Microsoft Windows and MacOS computers should
have that option built in. For those who only use accents occassionally, or are unable to change keyboards,
one work-around is to enter accents on an English keyboard using the
Alt key and number on the numeric keypad to create them.
